SIMPLE WAY TO GET AROUND PAYMENT HOLDING AND HOW RELEASE YOUR FUNDS INSTANTLY.
Over the last 8 weeks, paypal has started holding payments until a positive feedback has been left, or you wait 21 days, which ever arrives 1st. Now this is completely detremental to small sellers who rely on buyers payments to purchase in more stock and ship items. The smaller sellers rely on the payments to clear fast to be able to get more stock to sell, which is near impossible now these restrictions have come in.
Well there is a way around that, if you dont want to wait. And why should you have to? it is your money after all!
HERES HOW TO RELEASE HELD PAYMENTS.
Log in to your PayPal account.
Log in to your paypal account through the proper paypal url, always type in the url yourself.
Click the History sub-tab.
This will take you to all payments recieved within the last 30 days.
Find the payment on hold you want to release.
Thisn will be in your payments history, locate the payment on hold you want to release.
Click Details to open the Transaction Details page.
Ok, so you have found the transaction on hold you want to release and be able to withdraw
Click the Refund Payment link.
Don't panic, your not refunding them the item cost, though you will need to make a small nominal payment, something around £0.10 - £0.25p. Include a short message to the buyer saying its a gesture of good will for their custom. (This also encourages the buyer to use you again in the future)
Enter the refund amount and click Submit.
As stated just above, it only needs to be a tiny amount.
Confirm the refund amount and click Submit
Hey Presto. When you return to the Account summary page your payment that was on hold has now been released and you can use it to pay for items or withdraw as normal.
I hope that this has been of help, it has been working perfectly for me for the last 8 weeks without problem, and many others are now learning how to take control of THEIR money again.
Sometimes, these big know nothing companies think they can play god with peoples money, well enough is enough

Dude thanks for the tip! You just made my day. They were holding $1200 that I needed. Again thank you1
I wish I knew about this earlier. I may lose my house to foreclosure because Paypal held my money from selling the gold coin my father gave me before he died. I am so worried. I still can't get the money for 3-4 days because of their slow bank transfers and that will be past the deadline. Praying for a miracle! I want to use Craigslist instead of Ebay from now on.
Thanks for the tip, worked perfectly! You should include a Donate link on your blog, I really appreciate the help and wouldn't mind throwing you a bonus.
Thanks a ton regarding the paypal refund. I am a single mom and put on some very nice items to sell in order that I could get my 2 kids a Christmas. We have had a very very bad last year. Paypal held one of my buyers money. I complained and have been on the phone and sending hate mail to them for the past 2 days..what did I get for that????Paypal held another purchase today. Of course this purchase was for a high amount. Paypal also holds the shipping amount and for people like me...how could we afford to ship it??? Thanks to you; I can go to sleep tonight and not have to feel that paypal is sleeping with my money. Thanks!!
The other alternative is to give a full refund, and don't take a chance on PayPal seizing your account. I do not take the chance. It seems that will try any trick to get more money from already struggling small businesses.
I sent this mail to a customer today. Does anyone think that the buyer is getting a positive experience here ?
Making all sellers pay for the behaviour of a minority of irresponsible scam artists is insane for everyone except PayPal, in the end they will suffer as e-bay becomes a market only for power sellers and buyers start to go elsewhere.
Is there some statutory right that PayPal and e-bay are breaching ? If there is, it might save them from their own lunacy.

Dear Mark,
I have sent you a full refund of your PayPal payment.
I hope this link explains some of the background for why I had to do this.
https://www.thepaypalblog.com/2008/02/new-ebay-seller/
Unfortunately PayPal policy changes mean that your payment may be held for up to 21 days by Paypal, until they have satisfied
themselves that the transaction is genuine. I understand that some of the intention is to prevent buyers being scammed.
However, the problem is that this payment includes shipping costs which I must bear up front. I am also entirely against the principle that PayPal should make huge amounts of interest off funds that do not belong to them. Many sellers just withold shipping until payment
has cleared when this happens to them. I do not believe that this is fair to you to make you wait 21 days, hence I have issued a complete refund.
I hope you can appreciate that my prices are far below other prices on ebay, and I am working with very small margins.
I cannot afford to ship goods or take the risk that Paypal may or not release funds.
I hope you can see from my feedback that I am a genuine person and that I would not make an immediate refund if I was trying to scam you. I see from your feedback that you are also a genuine person and have great feedback, so I can only apologise that I am forced to take this action. I hope you are under standing about this.
I can only think of 3 alternatives to try and remedy this.
1) We use traditional method of payment ( ie: cheque / money order )
I know this increases the risk to you so I will understand entirely if you do not wish to proceed with this
2) I can bring the goods to you personally and you can pay cash on delivery.
The problem is that you may have to wait 10 days until I can bring you the goods in person. I will make significant loss, but I
prefer this than to allow PayPals' intimidation to succeed.
3) That we void the transaction and I try to reclaim my e-bay fees.
Once again, I'm sorry that it has come to this and the inconvenience this may cause you.
I tried my best to give you a good deal ( e-bay fees are higher than my profit and I do all the work ), it's out of my control what PayPal is allowed to get away with.
Kind Regards
Mike

Wow, the partial refund method works! You saved my bum.
I gave $0.10 Christmas presents to my customers, and I instantly got the rest back in my PayPal account. I immediately transferred that to my bank account. "This may take four to five days." Thank God, better than 21 plus transfer time.
Thank you so much can happily report that this works perfectly, my buyer has already left my positive but as i know from previous experience the release of the funds by paypal is not instant and can take anything up to a couple or three days so its great now i have my funds, heck its christmas, i need my money lol thanks again, well worth 10p refund.
I personally agree with the new system. I've seen a whole bunch of instances where it would have eliminated potential problems up front. There are plenty of ways you can work with the eBay/PayPal payment holding system to ensure you get your money as quickly as possible and everybody is happy.
Thank You so much, they were holding $1000 and I did what you said and refunded $1.00 and got my $999. back into my account and withdrew it.
thanks again
Anyone know if this is still working?
thanks so much and yes it still works!
Hey is there another trick cause this one is not working for me and I tried exactly what you said - email me; maleguru@gmail.com
Thanks
hi. is it still working?
Nope, Just tried it. Paypal this is complete crap. I havent used paypal in years, but have always maintained a 100% feedback rating. I sold something yesterday, and I have a Verified premier acct. and they wont even release $25 ! !
I think its time someone came out with a better solution and blows paypal out of the water for online payments ! Something Like this could dispute for Months ! If the buyer was trying to be a scammer that is !
It's not working!!! I tried to do this so they'd release 180 colors but it's still being held!!! It didn't work!!!
They've spotted it :(
Yep.. I Just tried it and had no luck. Really dont want to risk shipping this item until payment has cleared. Afraid I will ahve to issue a refund as well. Does anyone know if the buyer leaves positive feedback, how long it takes for funds to be released?
No need to have a large balance on Paypal. You can transfer the funds to checking or they will cut you a check. There are people who operate ebay businesses and even a few that make a living at it but the how is not clear to me. Prices on ebay are very low.

I started a petition about this at http://www.change.org/petitions/ebay-and-paypal-stop-the-unscrupulous-holding-of-paypal-funds-for-ebay-sales Need support!
Tried it as they have £50 of mine in pending & do this every single transaction but it didn’t work unfortunately! I have messaged them with photos off delivery, confirmation of delivery from courier & buyer yet they haven’t released my funds & I need it tomorrow to pay my car insurance im SO angry as they keep telling me it’s totally random when things go into pending, yet since I had fraudulent activity on my last account & used a new email address every transaction has been put into pending. They told me after 10 transactions it would stop, now they are saying they can’t stop it as it’s random & not up to them! If eBay allowed BACS I would cut PayPal out although! Don’t reply to my messages either as too busy (with complaints I’m sure!) angry customer
Didn't work so thanks
It's not working for me please ....if anyone knows any trick more please
It's not working, any new trick ?
It's not working at all
It's not working at all
Its not working please help me @sameerkhanz1071@gmail.com
I tried sent $1.00 back it's not working please email me. tahaitinbrendan96@gmail.com
It didn't work
Has anyone tried to send a tiny box to the buyer with anything inside like a letter telling the buyer that it's just to verify he got the item? Then add the the tracking # on PayPal so they can track it and verify they got it and then release the funds?
What about receiving positive feedback before payments are released will that still work
It worked. I sent a message with the image of the pink slip signed and letting them know that I needed the money for bills and food. They replied yesterday and said they would send the payer an email with instructions to go to the website and not the app to confirm items received. Then got notification that the money was release. That is a miracle because they were going to hold it for 21 days and only was on hold for 4 days.
Just did this, how long will it be until I receive my money!
How long did it take for the money to go into your account after you sent the refund?
After you sent the refund how long did it take to get the rest of the money to go off hold onto your account
